Note: Jones had a stormy relationship with a jealous woman named Gertrude, who picked a fight with her over a man. Gertrude had a knife but Jones bit her repeatedly. The two women made peace when they both wound up in the Holiness Church. Jones loved parties and card playing, though she never played Georgia Skin, "a rough folks' gambling game." She liked Coon Can, and played two-out-of-three for drinks.
