Note: Jones recalls the Ku Klux Klan and incidents of blacks being beaten and killed by whites. White people did not want black people to have television or radio for fear they would see and learn too much. Jones recalls specific persecutions, such as whites releasing a black man's mules, taking his farm, and burning his barns.
