Note: Like Shoo Turkey, the play Josephine begins with a formal conversation, which Jones feels is away of teaching children both how to be social and responsive, and the enjoyment of singing antiphonally. Step It Down: 'At the end of the conversation, the leader sings and claps for the children, who act out the words with their hands while they dance the shout step.'
