Note: Lomax asks MacBeath about women on his travels. He recalls his experience travelling with a red-haired girlfriend with "a good Scotch tongue in her head." He also talks about his trip to the Channel Islands, where he met a Scotsman in the midst of "nothing but Frenchmen goin about with their clogs on" and sang him "The Muckin of Geordie's Byre."
