Essayist David Cohn visited the Parchman women's camp in the 1930s, transcribing and obtaining transcriptions of songs from Barnes, Riley, and possibly Mallard (he identified a "Lillie Mae"). These are in the David Cohn Collection at the University of Mississippi Archives.
