About the session: Recordings of a troupe of traveling ahaidou (Central Moroccan shepherd folk) musicians from the High Atlas town of Rich. The tawat (double oboe) player demonstrates various musical commands he uses in his shepherding–different tunes for gathering, driving, or scattering the flock, as well as calls to frighten away wild animals.
