Mallorca 1960

This session comprises songs sung and recorded at the request of Alan Lomax by the English poet Robert Graves, who lived for many years on Mallorca. Each song is introduced with a brief background summary. The tape box indicates that it was recorded in Soller, Mallorca, 1960. (Most of the songs are parodic in nature, leading to the suspicion that Graves—whom Lomax admired greatly for his memoir "Goodbye to All That"—was putting Alan on somewhat.)
