Jeannie Robertson I 11/53

November 1, 1953 to November 3, 1953
London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom
Interviews with and songs sung by Regina "Jeannie" Robertson, MBE, "acclaimed balladeer of Scotland's travelling clans." The last tape in the series, T3462, was recorded at a song swap, also featuring revival singer Isla Cameron (included here) as well as Irish singer/banjo player Margaret Barry (included in the Irish collection) and Appalachian ballad singer Jean Ritchie (included in both, depending on the context of her songs). Tape 3447 was presumably not recorded in early November, as the tape box reads "…30, 1953" but because the month is not known, the tape is included here.
