Note: Original note: "Tenor with 12 men, divided into two choruses (L and N) – Pshavi – slow and grave. This song is performed by Pshavi people, living in the mountains of Eastern Georgia. There are two choruses consisting of six people who sing in two voices. The soloist of each chorus alternately develops the theme. It is a lyrical song, telling of a young girl who receives a letter requesting her mother to permit her to come to the young men, who desire her presence during their leisure hours. Georgian choruses are homogeneous, consisting of both male and female. There are but a limited number of female songs, and women mostly sing of family, way-of-life, and songs of their cult. Singing takes place on church holidays, and the ritual songs glorify the Lord, Saint Mary, and Saint George."
