About the session: These recordings were made by Alan Lomax at Sidili, Eastern Georgia, recorded at 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 IPS. They contain speeches, recitations, and songs at a banquet given in his honor. The last recordings are dubbed from records played for Alan by his Georgian hosts. Lomax noted that the songs were very much like those found in Liguria.
