Note: Original note: "Anna Konstantinovna (a woman's name). Recorded in the village of 'Red Settlement' in 1961. The song tells about difficulties of hand-spinning work. Unable to endure the hardships, one woman steals a piece of linen from another one. Everybody reproaches her, telling her that she is lazy and unkind. This is one of many examples showing how with the help of songs the Mordovians stigmatized vices in ancient times. The harmony of this song is very typical for all Mordovian folk music."
