Note: Three women each about 40 years old and one man 47 years old. This is a 1964 field recording from the Byelgorod region, Alekseev district, village of Afanas'yevka. The word "plyasa" or "plyaska" implies in Russian traditional Russian folk dancing with squatting, etc. as opposed to "tanyets" which is more often confined to the ballroom.
