Note: This is a merengue típico cibaeño, social dance music typical of the Cibao region, in a pambiche rhythm. It is played by a trio led by button accordion and accompanied by güira (metal scraper) and tambora (two headed drum). Juanita Morel is traditional to the tipico repertoire and dates approximately to the end of the 19th century.
