Note: Alan asks Tom Thomas for his opinions on W. B. Thomas, the director of the Ocean Coal Company. A delicate question, Thomas replies, and tells a story of Benny Baish meeting the devout W. B. Thomas one evening, who entreats Benny to pray for the British in the war. Benny says the Germans are doing the same thing, but Thomas insists that God can't understand them. Gomer Williams tells another Benny story, and Tom Thomas laments that all the "old characters" are gone.
