Note: When Vera Hall entered the church, she initially felt she didn't know enough about Christ to participate. Her mother encouraged her to be strong and earnest about "celebrating the Lord." At the first revival meeting she attended the preacher spoke about how a mother eagle tends to her nest. The church took in ten to thirteen candidates that night. The next Sunday, Hall and nineteen others were baptized. Hall wore a white dress made by her mother and was so overjoyed that she had to be carried away from the ceremony.
