Note: Jones had thick, long hair until it got burned off in a gas fire while she was cooking an apple cobbler. It hurt the way people must feel in hell. It was so bad that she didn't care about losing her hair, but was happy just to get over the pain. Lomax:" Why are women so proud of their long hair?" Jones: "It's their glory." Lomax: "Did you cry when you lost your long hair?" Jones: "I felt bad but I was glad to get out of it. No use crying about spilled milk."
