About the session: Shouts, ring play songs, and work songs performed by the Georgia Sea Island Singers (known as the Spiritual Singers of Coastal Georgia at the time), recorded at St. Simons Island, off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia. According to a note on tape 932's box, written in an unidentified hand, the group consists of at least the following members: Bessie Jones, John Davis, Peter Davis, Willis Proctor, and Henry Morrison. Two unidentified men are referred to as well but it is not clear if they perform on any other track besides "See Aunt Dinah." (They might be Joe Armstrong, Ben Ramsey, and/or Jerome Davis, who appear on the earlier tapes.)
