Note: Recorded by Mindiia Zhordaniia (m) at the village of Shilda, district of Qvareli in 1962. "Nana" means lullaby. Original note: "Lullaby – 20 women from Kakheti, region of Shilda. Sung by two choruses signing by turns, called 'Iavnana.' It is sung to people sick with cholera or scarlet fever. In both choruses there is a soloist backed by the chorus. The second chorus repeates that which was sung by the first chorus. This is a lyrical, melodic song. This song is still sung by the people and, according to the belief of the people this song can strengthen sick children."
