Note: This famous song chronicles the white man's effort to eliminate the plains Indians by killing off their food source. A group of men hired to slaughter the buffalo herds on the prairies, is cheated out of their pay by the boss, whom they then murder. Alan Lomax interjects a spoken explanation about the tremendous slaughter of the buffalo.
