Note: Alan Lomax explains that he believes the people who shape the world are the people who actually perform physical labors and not those who sit at desks. The first great American workers were the seamen. If it hadn't been for the seamen we wouldn't have won the Revolutionary war, but they were looked down upon and mistreated by everyone.
